This forum is not yet allowing discussion of bugs in Release Candidate versions of the Win 7 beta. Your problem is not related to that, however. Setting up sharing in a XP 'work network' or 'workgroup' has not changed. Depending on the settings in XP for 'Simple File Sharing', you can make changes to the Sharing on the properties pages of the folders of XP.How to disable simplified sharing and set permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP:Rating posts helps other users Mark L. I think that the problem met by SpirosLGR is the same as the sharing between XP and Vista.I recommend to apply this rules.http://dechily.org/Forum_Aski/topic19.htmlAski MVP Desktop Experience http://dechily.org/Forum_Aski/

sometimes just running the Network setup Wizard" on the XP computer can fix file sharing issues. That step is easily forgotten... I've done it myself! I had a small issue with my XP laptop and after thinking to hard and making it more complicated then needed.... I realized that I forgot to run the Network Setup Wizard and now all files and a network drive are fully accessible.

There is no issue to solve. You share files from XP the same as you normally would regardless of the OS on the other computer. Also, you ARE NOT running RC as it has not been released. Regardless of the build number or what you may have heard, the RC is not yet available.
